Where every figure in Hunt & Fish comes from, and how it is read.
Seasons, limits, license prices and the other rules come from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's own pages. Each page is checked every day and read again only when it changes.
Two separate AI models read a changed page, each on its own. A figure (a date, a limit, a size, a price) is shown only when both read exactly the same value. Where they differ, the page says “Check FWC for current rules” with a link to the agency's page instead of a figure.
Every rule names the page it comes from and when that page was last checked. A summary can still be wrong: the agency's own rules are the ones that count.
54 pages, the oldest last checked Oct 6, 2026.
Tides and water temperature: NOAA's tides and currents service (tide predictions at Santa Rosa, Hogtown Bayou; water temperature at Panama City Beach). Tide heights are predictions; a water reading more than a few hours old is not shown.
Wind, temperature and rain: the National Weather Service's hourly forecast for Santa Rosa Beach. The marine forecast and warnings: the Weather Service's Coastal Waters Forecast for the nearest waters.
Sunrise, sunset and the moon are calculated, not fetched. Legal shooting hours are the agency's rule applied to sunrise and sunset here.
Red tide: FWC's water samples; fish advice: the Florida Department of Health. Live figures are fetched at most every 30 minutes, and each card says when its source last updated.
From FWC's open map data:
Distances are straight lines from the center of Santa Rosa Beach. Reef positions are not for navigation. Ratings and photos on some places come from Google and say so.
The species pictures are original illustrations made for Keep Watch from a written description of each species: they show what a species looks like, not a particular fish or animal, and are not for identification on their own.
No picture is copied from the agency or anyone else.
Each wildlife management area's own regulations brochure (its hunt dates, quota hunts and check stations) is not read automatically: the agency's site asks automated readers to stay away. Every area's page links to its brochure.
Nothing here sells a license or applies for a permit; those links go to the official sellers.
Summary for convenience; official FWC rules control. Not legal advice.
