Walton County Projects in Progress Report

Summary

Walton County Public Works has issued an update on several ongoing infrastructure projects, noting all work is weather dependent and urging drivers to use caution in work zones. E. Primrose Avenue, Orange Blossom Avenue, and Poinsetta Avenue are each undergoing dirt-to-pave conversions with paving, striping, and sod work in progress, while 13th Street is being paved and improved with drainage work between Churchill Bayou Road and the end of maintenance. A new southbound right turn lane is under construction at Old Ferry Road and US 98, and the asphalt overlay on Four Mile Road between E. Bay Loop and SR 20 has been completed with striping now underway. Additional work includes a multi-use path and culvert repairs on Lake Drive, a new sidewalk on W Harborview Road, parking lot paving at the Paxton Senior Center, and drainage maintenance at Harbor Trace, with intermittent lane and shoulder closures expected throughout these projects.
