Walton – Okaloosa Counties Construction Traffic Advisory

Summary

A traffic advisory covering Walton and Okaloosa counties outlines construction-related disruptions on state roads. In Walton County, the Western Lake Bridge Replacement Project will cause intermittent traffic stoppages of up to 15 minutes between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. for deliveries, plus temporary lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for milling and paving, during the week of Sunday, Sept. 27. In Okaloosa County, several projects will affect U.S. 98, Santa Rosa Boulevard, S.R. 85, and S.R. 293 with intermittent lane and shoulder closures at various times between Sept. 27 and Oct. 2 for construction, paving, and signal work. All work is weather dependent and subject to delay, and drivers are advised to use caution near work zones.
