County Commission
The Walton County Board of Commissioners held a regular meeting on January 28, 2025, at the South Walton Annex Board Room. With four commissioners present (Chair Donna Johns, Vice Chair Dan Curry, Commissioner Danny Glidewell, and Commissioner Brad Drake), the board approved a consent agenda containing routine items and several grants and contracts. They approved state and federal legislative funding priorities, including $5.5 million for a health department facility expansion and a traffic signal installation; adopted a low-speed vehicle ordinance; approved a managed vending services contract and a bollard lighting system for beach areas; and scheduled a public hearing on boating regulations. The board also approved closing documents for two real estate transactions and gave direction on several policy matters including monster house regulations and minimum wage discussions.
