Insurance adjuster report expected within two weeks. Board must determine whether to use county procurement or allow FMIT to manage reconstruction. Heat-activated canister fire suppression devices being installed at facilities. County ordinance on fire prevention and protection last updated in 1996; draft update prepared in late 2023. Administrator to follow up on finalizing draft ordinances.

Chair Johns directed staff to follow TDC recommendations and meet with commissioners individually before presenting results at June 23, 2025 meeting.

GIS Director reported on project to produce color-coded map of all roads showing ownership and responsibility (private, county, city, state, federal). Staff coordinating with municipalities and reviewing interlocal agreements. County Attorney requested GIS provide width and length of all county-maintained and built roads for recording maps.

Chair Johns requested staff investigate feasibility of using Meade property for temporary parking during Driftwood parking area construction. Discussion included ADA compliance and safety considerations.
