Walton County Public Works Projects in Progress

Summary

Walton County Public Works has released an update on several ongoing infrastructure projects, all weather dependent and subject to delay. Crews are converting E. Primrose Avenue, Orange Blossom Avenue, Poinsetta Avenue and 13th Street from dirt to paved roads, with paving, striping, drainage work and sod installation underway at various stages, and intermittent lane or shoulder closures expected on each. Where Old Ferry Road meets US 98, a new southbound right turn lane is being constructed, and an asphalt overlay is underway on about 1.12 miles of Four Mile Road between E. Bay Loop and SR 20. Additional work includes a multi-use path and culvert repairs on Lake Drive, a new sidewalk on W Harborview Road, parking lot paving at the Paxton Senior Center, and drainage maintenance on CR 883, Villa Lane and Buddy Street. The county asked drivers to use caution in work zones and directed questions to Walton County Public Works at (850) 892-8111.
